Governor Lobong’s Visit to Ikwoto Boosts Hope for Peaceful Coexistence

The Executive Director of Ikwoto County has expressed optimism that the recent visit by the State Governor will promote peaceful coexistence and improve security in the area.

Mr. Tito Abas Lomoro said the visit by Governor Louis Lobong Lojore is expected to help reduce criminal activities such as road ambushes, revenge killings, and cattle raiding among communities in Ikwoto and neighboring Budi County.

“ The visit of the governor in Ikwoto County is very important it will transform youths who are engaging on revenge killings, cattle raiding which Will reduce issues of insecurity in the areas of kideopo valley, and his visit also will give hope to communities to rear their animals and practice agriculture without insecurity.”

He added that the Governor’s mission was also aimed at sensitizing communities on the importance of peaceful coexistence to allow humanitarian agencies to operate freely.

“Since the government visit Ikwoto County during the barrel of the late Hon. Joseph he has been visiting areas include Chahari Payam, Chorokol Payam, Bira Payam, Losike Payam advising the community distance from cattle raiding, revenge killing road ambush, the main purpose of governor visit is to promote peace between communities of ikwoto county and Budi county to allwed humanitarian partners implement their project on the round freellly’

During his visit, Governor Lobong toured several areas including Bira Payam, Losite, Chahari Payam, and Chorokol Payam, calling for peace and stability.
