National Assembly extends 2019/2020 budget to next Monday ‘says speaker

The National Assembly has extended the budget proposal of 2019/2020 to the coming Monday.
 
Speaker Antony Lino Makana says the budget will be on its third reading after the observation Committee of finance and economic planning.
 
MP Oharuai Mabor Teny, head of Youth Parliamentary Caucus says if the minister of finance did pay the pending two months salaries of civil servants, MPs will not pass the new budget.
 
He adds that minister must pay civil servant salaries before the third reading of, warning that if not he will be relieved from his position.
 
Mabor stresses that young people are to be prioritized in the budget and be given a entrepreneurship to avoid joining rebellions.
 
The officials were speaking at the national parliament during the second reading of 2019-2020 budget report on Wednesday.
