Inter-governmental Authority on Development or IGAD should invite the civil society organizations for the face-to-face meeting of South Sudan party leaders, says Edmond Yakani, Executive Director of Community Empowerment for Progress Organization or CEPO.
Yakani, says civil society is a signatory to the revitalised peace pact and media should be part of the consultation meeting between, president Salva Kiir and Dr Riek Machar the opposition leader.
IGAD should focus on their objectivity on South Sudan revitalised peace deal to become neutral and, relevant body that is why people have doubt about IGAD objectivity.
‘IGAD need to question themselves in this meeting and to have objective approach’, he cautions.
CEPO Executive Director says that the civil society is watching on the spoilers of the peace process within the parties and region that discouraging the agreement to move ahead.
‘We will name and shame the spoilers of the peace pact and we will name them on their spoiling actions’, he warns.
Community Empowerment for Progress Organisation Director was addressing the media on Thursday on the recent process ahead of the meeting call by IGAD to the political leaders that scheduled on 21st August in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia.
