South Sudan joins world in celebrating International Migrants Day

South Sudan in collaboration with International Organization for Migration or IOM and partners joins the rest of the world in celebrating the International Migrants Day 
 
The international Migrant’s day is annually celebrated on December 18th.
 
In Juba four events will mark the day, the Global Migration Film Festival, Debate between University of Juba and Upper Nile University debating on the theme ‘This House Believes that Everyone Should be able to Migrate with Dignity.’ 
 
There will be film Bush fallers about African migration to Europe shown before the debate.
 
The event will also include performances from dancers and singers.
 
The occasion will involve a panel discussion focusing on trafficking persons and migrant smuggling, particularly in South Sudan.
 
The Global Migration Film Festival is also taking place in Abeyi Administrative Area and Wau.
 
The event will bring together UN agencies, the government, NGOs and other civil society.
