South Sudan trashed US statement that its government is not being run with the American money.
Government spokesperson Michael Makuei Lueth says the government had not been running on the American aid.
He said all US government donations have been directed to humanitarian assistance in South Sudan.
Makuei further states the move by the US government to cut financial aid is an attempt to change the regime in South Sudan.
He was reacting to last Thursday, US National Security Adviser John Bolton saying the Trump administration will not provide financial assistance inform of loans to the country because it is infested with corrupt leaders.
Bolton said the US government will review its support to South Sudan in fear of funds being used to finance or prolong the conflict.
US government statement stated that countries that receive their assistance must invest in health and education, encourage accountable and transparent governance, support fiscal transparency, and promote the rule of law.
