Tonj State Ministry of Education on Tuesday started a three-day orientation workshop on the new curriculum to the teachers.
The purpose is to direct teachers in the state about the new syllabus of South Sudan, says Ariik kuol Ariik, Director-General in the ministry.
He adds that new syllabus is being produce in Kenya.
The Director points that one hundred and seven teachers turned up for the training and will be sent to their counties.
He attributes delay of new curriculum to continuous conflicts and the economic crisis in the nation.
One of the participants, Gregory Malith Akoon, appreciates the new curriculum because it will facilitate the teaching process.
National and State Ministries of Education co-organized the training that started on Monday and is expected to end on Wednesday.
The similar workshops will be organized in counties.
