Wau Health Ministry concludes polio vaccination campaign

Wau State Ministry of Health in collaboration with World Health Organization and UNICEF in Wau on Monday concluded polio vaccination campaign.
 
According to Voice of Hope Radio, the immunization campaign targets 150 thousand children from 0 to 5 years in residential areas and UN camps,
 
It is very important for families to let their children vaccinated against polio, de-worming and vitamin A for their good health, says Joyce Sanduki, World Health Organization representative 
 
She adds that people should know that their children can get polio through poor hygiene due to flies coming from un-cleaned places and lend on uncovered food.
 
Parents should ensure that their children get vaccinated to avoid disabilities among children, Sanduki appeals.
 
She advises let the parents specially mothers and girls at houses to keeps things clean always mention all 
 
State Minister of Health James Patrice Ibrahim also advises parents to protect their children against dangerous diseases.
 
It is role of ministry of Health and partners to protect the children from the six diseases through offering of vaccine, says Anthony Fada State Advisor for Health, while representing the Wau Governor.
 
He urges the community of Wau not to reject vaccination to their children when volunteers visit their houses.
