The security sector in South Sudan is ineffective, unprofessional, and unfriendly to civilians and is not operating according to the constitution and the security laws, says Executive Director, South Sudanese Network for Democracy and Elections

He was talking while the National Dialogue sub-committee on Wednesday consulted civil society organizations’ representatives on causes of the conflict in the country.
The civil society also observes that the judicial system and law enforcement agencies are ineffective in delivering justice in a robust and timely manner.
They call for reforms in the judicial system to deliver fair and equal justice.
Other issues raised include poor governance leading to the current crisis in South Sudan.
The civil society presented a detailed document concerning its views to the causes of conflict in South Sudan and recommendations to the national dialogue sub-committee.
The national dialogue sub-committee during the consultation meeting promises to take note of the views of the civil society organizations.
Sub-committee advises the civil society and everybody who will be consulted to tell everything that they think is affecting the country to bring solution to the conflict.
