Women in Wau Assembly and UN launch awareness on girl education

Women caucus in Wau States Legislative Assembly and United Nation Mission in South Sudan launched awareness on girl child education as a preparation for the sixteen days of activism.
 
Josephina Akuaja, acting chairperson of the caucus, says the purpose is to speak to mothers on the importance of education to girls, Radio Voice of Hope reports.
 
Deputy Speaker also Secretary of the caucus, Viola Alexander Umele, expresses concerns on the importance of girls’ education to the family and the entire community.
 
Directress of Women Training and Promotion, Linda Ferdinand, calls on all women to work hard to minimize prices of the dowry and education fees in marriage bills.
 
The discussion drew the participants from different government and private institutions in Wau last week.
