Theft rate continues to rise in Tonj, says Acting Police Commissioner

A number of theft cases have gone beyond the capacity of the security personnel, Acting Police Commissioner in Tonj State.
 
Joseph Mayiei Aru appeals to citizens to secure their property from thieves since Christmas is approaching, Radio Don Bosco reports.
 
He calls on the public to cooperate with organized forces by reporting theft cases in the area.
 
Lual Machar, whose shop was broke, lost two bags of groundnut and one bag of sesame one week ago. 
 
State authorities are the only people who can resolve theft cases in the community he argues.
 
Julia Clement, a business woman working in the market, attributes the theft rate to the organized force working at night to security the market.
 
She calls on the government to look into the issue of security in the market properly before Christmas.
