Western Equatoria Finance minister urged the general public to return the spoiled South Sudanese Pounds to Commercial Banks in the State.
John Russi on Monday told Radio Anisa that citizens should take the torn One Pound Bank notes to Equity, KCB and Ivory Banks to be taken to the Central Bank in Juba for replacement.
He advised all citizens in Western Equatoria to avoid keeping money at home because some people do not know how to hold cash.
The Finance Minister urged the Commercial Bank owners to respond positively to people while returning the torn notes by giving them new notes.
The Commercial Bank owners could not be reached for comments.
