AWEPA, Ibba County Councilors visit Nabanga Payam

Association of European Parliamentarians with Africa or AWEPA and County Legislative Councilors over the weekend visited Nabanga Payam of Ibba County, Western Equatoria State.
 
AWEPA representative Simon John said they started their program in South Sudan four years ago to train County, State and National Legislative Councilors to work hand in hand with executive bodies, Radio Anisa reported.
 
Ibba County Council Chairperson Silvano Bayo appreciated Nabanga community for its warm welcome and hospitality.
 
He said the visit to was to enlighten Nabanga community about the importance of education which is their first priority in the County and the role of parents.
 
The people of Nabanga expressed willingness and commitment to send their children to school despite lack of enough teachers in the Payam.
 
Ibba Commissioner Nagomoro Bridget appreciated AWEPA for its initiative of training councilors for the progress of the County.
 
He stressed on the importance of education, urging parents to send more girls and boys to school.
