Kapoeta South to host inter-counties sports tournament

Eastern Equatoria State Deputy Governor declared Kapoeta South County as a host for the next inter-county sports tournament.
 
Jerome Surur Gama made the announcement during the conclusion of inter-county sports competition at Torit Freedom Square on Saturday, Radio Emmanuel reported.
 
Ikwoto County won the football tournament of the inter-county sports events; Torit took both female and male athletics trophies.
 
Sebit Siro emerged the best player and Lucy Aneno of Torit became the best athlete in the state.
 
Sebit Dickson from Ikwoto with six goals won position of the top scorer instead of his colleague, Santos Philip who scored seven goals in the tournament.
 
The inter-county sports that started on January 18 under the theme: ‘Empower youth through sports to build the state of a peaceful nation’ included football, volley ball, athletes and field events.
 
The state government funded the events with the help of United Nations Children Fund, Whitaker Peace Initiative with technical support from United Nations Mission in South Sudan.
