UNICEF, partners assess IDPs’ needs in Bentiu

United Nations Children Fund or UNICEF and other partners screened 129 children for malnutrition, discovering that 2.3 percent of them were suffering from severe acute malnutrition.
 
In a statement CRN obtained, 10.1 percent is screened suffering from moderate acute malnutrition and that children identified with malnutrition were referred for treatment.

The statement added that UNICEF, World Food Program and other partners undertook a rapid response mission to Buaw in Koch County of Unity State reaching 17,249 people including 3,158 children under the age of five cut off from basic services such as health and education since the mid December 2013 crisis.
