The United Nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS announced that it would on Tuesday destroy weapons seized from Internally Displaced Persons or IDPs since December 15, 2013 in Juba.
In a notice, CRN obtained, the event in Juba would be the first of its kind in a series of weapon and ammunition destruction exercises.
Similar events are scheduled to take place later this month in Malakal, Nassir, Bentiu, Wau and Bor.
