Western Bahr El Ghazal Education Ministry apologized to Wau High School for mistakenly omitting it from the top ten best schools in the South Sudan Secondary exams results announced on Monday in state.
The Ministry in an apology letter circulated to the media, said Wau High School occupied the second position with 92.3 percent, Voice of Hope reported.
The Ministry apologised a day after the school administration petitioned it against the omission from the top ten best performers, regretting to the public unintended error.
Wau High School headmaster Ngota James Thomas accepted the apology, describing the omission as ‘a human and unexpected mistake’.
Mr Ngota attributed the School best performance to the great efforts the school exerted by competent teachers imparting the right knowledge to learners.
He added that their teachers go extra mile with subjects’ content than giving only a sketch of the daily lessons to students.
The school administration expressed commitment to boost education in Western Bahr El Ghazal, advising students to abandon cheating culture and concentrate on reading ahead of the exams.
Wau High School with 92.3percent followed Standard Secondary School that scored 96.4 percent as the first of the ten best schools of the state in national exams results.
