The Community of Wulu County on Monday complained of crop destruction by random movement of cattle from neighbouring counties.
Member of Parliament or MP Shadrack Bol Machok said during a handover ceremony of detention cell in Wulu that the State government should control cattle movement to avoid conflict between crop growers and pastoralists, Good News Radio reported.
He added that agriculture is the main source of livelihood in Wulu County just like the pastoralists depending on cattle.
The MP appreciated United Nation Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS for great support, urging it to bridge gaps among communities of Rumbek East, Yirol West and Wulu Counties to live in peace.
Wulu Youth Chairman Philip Taban commended youths for their commitment to peace, calling on authorities to end insecurity in neighbouring counties to avoid spill out of conflict.
He warned that peaceful communities might be affected by conflicts surrounding states if not handled well.
