Nakiri Peer Group chairlady in Yambio, Western Equatoria urged people living with HIV to be open and speak out to others and participate fully in activities without fear.
Sarah Simon who was speaking during the World AIDS Day under theme: ‘Positive people, positive mind’ organized by Medicines Sans Frontier or MSF on Monday at Nakiri in Yambio, testified that she is healthy because she is following medical directives and regulations, Radio Anisa reported.
Another patient Kamilio Kamilo said they willingly decided to come up with the Peer Group to educate others to live positive life with free mind.
He testified that in the past five years he was taking his anti-retroviral drugs and is healthy and open to others.
MSF conducted awareness at Yambio State Hospital where many patients gave their positive testimonies, calling on the government and other stakeholders to give more support and care for those living positive life.
