The Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Archdiocese of Juba urged the Christian community to help priests morally and materially to concentrate on preaching the Gospel of Christ.
Bishop Santo Loku Pio who was talking during the reception of Fr Jackson Yugusuk at Sacred Heart Parish, Kw√∂rijik-Luri on Sunday, advised priests’ relatives not to ask from them money, but support them to avoid them from begging.
He called on the new priests to work hard in all parishes of the Archdiocese to realize development.
Bishop Loku told the congregation to leave behind during Advent, evil deeds including theft, hatred, greed, discrimination, tribalism, nepotism and other bad things to become people of light.
He advised Christians and all South Sudanese to call for forgiveness, reconcile and listen to God’s words through their brothers and sisters for peace to take root.
