Episcopal Church of South Sudan and Sudan or ECSSS Bishops approved Yambio of Western Equatoria as an Internal Province headed by Bishop Peter Munde Yacob to be installed as the first Archbishop.
Internal Province Establishment Committee Chairperson Bishop Samuel Peni of Nzara disclosed that the approval was made in Kajo-Keji Diocese, Anisa Radio reported.
Cluster Secretary Reverend John Khamis Kamunde said all members of the committee from Olo, Maridi, Ibba, Yambio, Nzara and Ezo Dioceses met last Friday at Tiimbiro All Saints Cathedral to evaluate and compile available resources for the establishment.
He added that the committee resolved renovation of office block, visitation of high delegation from Juba headed by Rokon Diocese Bishop and scheduling the inauguration of the Internal Province.
Reverend Khamis said the committee would meet again on December 16 to plan fundraising and follow up pledges made in previous lobbies.
