A priest in Nuba Mountains of South Kordofan advised Catholic Christians to have hope as they wait for Christmas.
Fr Tom Tisconia in his homily on the first Sunday of Advent, told Christians that they are waiting for the coming of Jesus Christ as an expectant mother waits for her new baby, Voice of Peace reported.
He said the Gospel was preparing the people of God for the coming of the Lord into the world again.
Fr Tisconia said the Gospel reminds the people to be ready for the coming of the Kingdom of God and that waiting is part of human experience.
He told the faithful to be hopeful so that they have peace in their land and live a good live without fear.
