Head chiefs and Payam Directors of Morobo in Central Equatoria State on Tuesday received ten motorcycles from County authorities to facilitate smooth and faster services delivery to citizens.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, Commissioner Moses Simon Soro said the motorcycles are meant to ease their transport in running activities including remote rural areas, Radio Easter reported.
Commissioner Simon urged chiefs and directors to stop exploiting the forestry for their personal benefits, appealing to citizens to plant their trees to conserve the environment.
Paramount Chief Naphtali Yakani Sila commended the county for giving them transport facility to ease their work.
He recalled that chiefs work without salaries and walk long distance for many years.
