Sudan Catholic Bishops Conference or SCBC Vice President called on the Diocesan leaders including Bishops, Apostolic Administrators to address the annual plenary in a spiritual and pastoral attitude of being shepherds.
Bishop Erkulano Lodu Tombe who was addressing the opening of the annual plenary said SCBC previous meetings focused more on juridical aspects.
He said the Conference should address issues in a pastoral way to carry something tangible to the dioceses.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro warmly welcomed all the Conference participants to Juba wishing them to feel at home.
He coveyed special welcome to the Auxiliary Bishop of Khartoum, Daniel Adwok Kur who did not attend many Bishops’ meetings for security and other reasons.
The plenary brought together Bishops and Apostolic Administrators of South Sudan and Sudan to discuss naming of the Conference to accommodate the two countries, formation of priests, evangelization and the media as a tool of evangelization.
