Presidents Kiir, Bashir recommit to peace

Presidents South Sudan and Sudan recommitted themselves to open a new page of cooperation and working for peace in the two countries to ensure their relations continue to grow.
 
Foreign Minister Barnaba Marial Benjamin told journalists at Juba International Airport that Presidents Salva Kiir Mayardit and Omer Hassan El Bashir pledged not to support armed groups in both countries for peace to prevail.
 
He described President Kiir’s visit to Khartoum, Sudan as successful visit and they had a series of meetings.
 
Dr Marial  said the two Presidents instructed the Cooperation Agreements Committees to resume their meetings and implement the deal as soon as possible.
 
The Foreign minister said President Kiir was warmly received by President Bashir at Khartoum International Airport.
