Jur Commissioner refutes Tonj South counterpart assassination claims

Jur River County Commissioner in Western Bahr El Ghazal denied assassination attempt of his Tonj South County counterpart, saying the Commissioner misbehaved at the roadblock.
 
John Arop Apai accused William Wol Mayom of opening a check point and violating national Transitional Constitution on inter-states territorial laws by flying his flag beyond his boundary, Voice of Hope reported.
 
Jur Commissioner said Mr Wol arrested and detained his police officer at Tonj South County headquarters claiming that Kapara Boma belongs to his County.
 
Sergeant Michael Mayen in charge of Kapara Police Station said his officer fired up three bullets after Tonj South Commissioner knocked down the roadblock.
 
He mentioned that the Commissioner earlier arrested his officer and warned them not to fix any roadblock at Kapara because the territory belongs to Tonj South.
 
Tonj South Commissioner accused Western Bahr El Ghazal police of attempting to assassination him over territorial disputes.
