Western Equatoria Legislative Assembly Speaker warned artist for involving learners in clubs and public places, warning parents who are giving money to their children for dancing, resulting to poor performances in school.
Bage James Elisa reacted on Monday during deliberation on General Education Bill 2014 to the August House in its second reading, urging MPs to deliberate and discusses on it thoroughly, Anisa Radio reported.
State Education Minister Pia Phillip Michael outlined that the Bill contain 14 chapters, focusing on principles and aspects of quality education, girl child education, rights and obligation of a learner.
Education Committee Chairperson Elinama Daniel Joseph described Bill as important, urging August House to deliberate and come up with necessary amendments.
He recommended chapter 13 for public hearing to get views which says teachers involved in abusing school girls should be sentenced for 13 years imprisonment.
