The President of the Republic while inaugurating the Public Health Laboratory, National Blood Transfusion Service and laying of foundation stone for Dr John Garang Diagnostic and Medical Centre in Juba on Tuesday, said provision of health services is a top priority of his government.
Salva Kiir Mayardit described the institutions as achievements that every citizen would be proud of in the country, Bakhita Radio reported.
President Kiir awarded appreciation certificates to various government institutions and development partners.
National Health Minister Riek Gai Kok said the Laboratory would assist to adopt techniques such as DNA and other evidence to be used to apprehend medical crimes.
Central Equatoria Governor Clement Wani Konga said the facilities would facilitate medical specialist investigation at home that pouring money for treatment abroad.
