The outgoing UN Secretary-General’s Representative and Chief of the United nations Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS on Friday said she does not leave the country in troubles.

Hilde Johnson said in consultation with Ban Ki-moon she is now leaving after the situation in the country calmed down, Emmanuel Radio reported.

Eastern Equatoria Governor Louis Lobong Lojore wished UNMISS’ outgoing chief continues serving South Sudan because she knows the problem of the country before signing the Comprehensive Peace Agreement.

He earlier said the government and UNMISS had both sweet and sour moments which he termed ‘normal for people coming from different back grounds’.

Governor Lobong called on Ms Johnson to remember South Sudan and be its Ambassador wherever she goes.

Ms Johnson who was briefing Eastern Equatoria officials on Saturday in Torit town will leave Juba on Tuesday.
