Ezo County Commissioner on Sunday warned people against spreading false information on security issues.
The County Press Secretary Buku Matthew said Commissioner Muidie Albert told the congregation of Nambia Catholic Centre of Regina Mundi Parish in Tombura-Yambio Diocese to stop spreading rumours that the Lord’s Resistance Army or LRA crossed into Western Equatoria, Anisa Radio reported.
The Commissioner said some individuals in the county started spreading rumours that LRA were crossed to Ezo.
He quoted the LRA is now moving in the territory of DR Congo not South Sudan.
Mr Muidie urged Ezo citizens to clean all their residential areas ready for the independence celebration.
On Monday the Commissioner toured all departments to inspect the general cleaning, calling on all people of Ezo to turn up for the third independence anniversary ceremony on Wednesday at the County Freedom Square.
