Implementation of Health Pool Fund did not meet government’s expectations of the project in Eastern Equatoria.
State Health ministry Director General Silvestro Omini on Monday said proposals were beautiful, human resource interviews were conducted but deployment became a problem, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He added that county health personnel capacity building and communities did not happen.
State Health minister Margaret Itto Leonardo cited limited time of the project and mid-December crisis as factors that affected the project implementation.
She said rains, poor roads, lack of infrastructure also hindered execution the project.
The two-day county health planning workshop attracted participants from the eight counties of Eastern Equatoria, state health and national ministry representatives and donors.
