Africa prioritizes infrastructure to modernize continent

African Union, AU Commission Chairperson said Africa was prioritizing infrastructural development to speed up the modernization of the continent.
 
In a statement Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma and the Governor-General Sir Jeremiah Mateperae discussed possible areas of cooperation between the African Union Commission and New Zealand.
 
The two leaders identified areas of mutual interest including agriculture and agro-processing, geothermal energy and human capacity development.
 
Dr Zuma expressed keen interest in training young people as a key driver to speed up the continent’s skills revolution.
 
Sir Mateperae said New Zealand government encourages women to be innovative and to train in science and technology, adding that engaging women has the greatest multiplier effect.
 
The Commission Chairperson and the New Zealand Governor-General also agreed to promote people-people opportunities in sports and culture.
