Central Equatoria State Health Minister called on health authorities to act very fast against increasing cholera cases in Juba.
Dr Emmanuel Ija Baya on Thursday warned that if medical practitioners do not act very fast the number may increase rapidly and that many lives would be lost, Bakhita Radio reported.
He called for hard work to stop the disease by passing health messages to masses all over the state.
Juba City Mayor Christopher Sarafino Wani said cholera outbreak in Juba was no longer a secret, but a serious concern.
He revealed plans to come up with strict local orders against unhygienic business operators.
The officials sounded the alarms during a formal declaration of cholera outbreak in Juba on Thursday.
