Greater Yei Development Association or GRYDA consisting of Lainya, Morobo, Kajo-Keji and Yei Counties revealed new plans to establish a modern university.
Speaking at the opening of the Association, Yei River County Commissioner Juma David Augustine expressed Local Government’s support to the GRYDA to realize its development vision, Easter Radio reported.
The Association Chairperson Joseph Ramba said opening of the Yei University was to address the increasing demand for higher institutions in the region.
He said they also aimed to improve quality education, infrastructural development, health, microfinance and the agricultural sector.
