Tonj South County Commissioner in Warrap State on Wednesday urged citizens of greater Tonj to stay in peace and unity as brothers and sisters.
William Wol Mayom appealed to Nuer and Dinka in Mapel Military Barrack to avoid targeted killings based on ethnicity, Don Bosco Radio reported.
He urged them to put God first in life to avoid discrimination.
The Commissioner appreciated God for the early rain in the area, expressing hope for cultivating more food.
Mr Wol urged the community including cattle keepers to safeguard their first hunger crops from cattle.
The Commissioner advised citizens to love one another and work for peace and unity in various parts of the country.
