Yei Catholic Youth Chaplain on Tuesday urged learners of St. Joseph Primary and Secondary Schools to work hard during holidays to become self-sponsors of their education to relieve parents from too much responsibility.

Fr Emmanuel Lodongo Sebit said students and pupils should do constructive work to contribute to their education progress and relieve parents from some burden, Easter Radio reported.

He appealed for peace and discipline among learners because peace begins from an individual, expanding to the entire nation.

Sr Carmen Silvero expressed readiness to cooperate with the chaplain for better service delivery.

She said many sponsors support great achievers, reiterating that learners’ courage would attract more support.

The officials made the statement during the end of first holy mass at St Joseph Parish in Yei.
