Mountain Trade and Development Bank on Friday opened its new branch in Nimule town of Eastern Equatoria.
The Bank Managing Director Abdulhabib Brema described the branch as important because of the role commercial banks play in the Country, Bakhita Radio reported.
He said they would listen to what the government, communities, financial institutions, trade union and even Boda-boda Association would say.
Mr Brema explained that the aim of the Bank was to save money of communities for returns in form of services.
Nimule Business Community Chairman Inyani Jackson also described the opening of the Mountains Trade and Development Bank as very important to traders.
He urged the Central Bank of South Sudan to empower local banks to boost local business communities in the State and country at large.
