146 students graduated at Don Bosco Vocational Institute at Darja after a three-year technical training on electricity, masonry, auto mechanics, computer, carpentry, printing and welding.

Institute Principal Fr Sunil Orjthel acknowledged efforts exerted by the graduates in acquiring the necessary skills in seven different fields, Voice of Hope reported.

Western Bahr El Ghazal Deputy Governor Zachariah Joseph Garang advised the graduates to use the acquired skills for self employment because government job opportunities are limited.

Western Bahr El Ghazal Education Minister Michael Madut Chan called on parents to encourage school dropouts especially girls to resume their studies.

He said there were opportunities for free educations and Accelerated Learning Program to accommodate dropouts.

Graduate representatives Viola Alexander cited English language as their major challenge during the vocational training.

She called on the government to create more job opportunities that can observe technical graduates.
