The Catholic Archbishop of Juba on Saturday urged staff and students of the Catholic University of South Sudan to be very serious in handling academic and administrative affairs as the founding Vice Chancellor retires from the job.
Archbishop Paolino Lukudu Loro advised a farewell gathering at Juba Campus not to worry about the change of Fr Michael Schultheis.
The prelate urged students and staff to be serious workers, assuring them that South Sudanese would make it through hard work, but not miracles.
Archbishop Lukudu hailed the great experience with the outgoing Vice Chancellor, urging South Sudanese to embrace change of job service whenever time comes.
The prelate called on the new administration under Fr Matthew Pagan to move on, emulating the cooperation, humility and dedication shown by Fr Michael.
The outgoing Vice Chancellor urged South Sudanese to continue building lives for the future despite difficult times in the country.
Fr Michael advised South Sudanese to build some confidence in God that his work at the Catholic University would continue after the hope built and promises made at the CPA period disappeared.
The emeritus Vice Chancellor urged his successor to adhere to commitment, cooperation and listening heart for successful leadership.
Board of Trustees’ Representative Dr Justo Wani hailed Fr Michael for his humility and success’ story in establishing what he termed a promising university.
