Lakes Health ministry committee carried out an assessment on Thursday in Rumbek Central County on pharmacies operating in the town and discovered that only 25 of them qualified to practice the work.
Lakes Pharmaceutical Director Hakim Makuer Gol said they found 105 pharmacies delivering services to the population, Good News Radio reported.
He announced that 65 pharmacies and 8 clinics found in Rumbek were unprofessional to serve people.
Dr Hakim clarified that only those with proper documents for pharmaceutical services would work in a pharmacy.
He requested all personnel delivering health services to seek for proper and recognize certificates to allow them operate.
The Director gave unqualified pharmacies in Rumbek less than three weeks to present their correct documents to the Ministry or face closure.
