The UN Undersecretary General for Peacekeeping Operations will from Sunday to Monday visit the UN Mission in South Sudan or UNMISS.
In a statement issued on Saturday, Hervé Ladsous while in Juba is expected to meet with senior government officials to discuss the ongoing crisis in the country and UNMISS operations.
The Undersecretary General will also meet with UN staff and peacekeepers to thank them for their services especially protection of thousands at risk.
The Mission is protecting more than 85 thousand civilians at eight bases across the country.
