Torit Apostolic Administrator praised the first youth conference taking place from Thursday to Saturday in the diocese after many years.
Monsignor Thomas Oliha said the day was blessed by the Lord, calling on the youths to rejoice, Emmanuel Radio reported.
He said the conference was very much encouraging the administration of the diocese.
Monsignor Oliha urged the youths in the diocese to strengthen their faith in Christ.
The Apostolic Administrator advised the youths to possess and read the Bible everyday.
Torit Catholic Diocese Youth Chaplain Fr Joseph Otto termed the youth conference as seeking Jesus Christ for knowledge to handle current challenges.
He noted that the youth wanted to be vessels of peace, justice and reconciliation through Jesus Christ.
Fr Otto stressed that, as pillars of a society, the youth should first seek Jesus to resolve political and social problems in their societies and nation.
The conference attracted hundreds of youth from the three parishes of the diocese and representatives from other denominations.
