The President of the Republic wrote a condolence message to the South African President on the death of Nelson Mandela and in recognition of his historic life.
Cabinet Affairs Minister Martin Elia Lomurö read the message to the press on Friday in Juba, expressing sadness on behalf of Salva Kiir and the people of South Sudan.
He described the late Mandela as a great leader, champion of democracy, equality, human rights, peace and development.
Government spokesperson Michael Makuei Lueth announced that President Salva Kiir who is in France ordered national flag to be flown at half mast for three days.
He directed all institutions including diplomatic missions inside and outside the country.
Nelson Mandela, the first black South African President was born in 1918 and died on Thursday after long illness.
