Hundreds of pilgrims from the 16 parishes of Tombura Yambio Catholic Diocese are on the move to Mupoi, the pilgrimage centre, to celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate.
Rimenze Parish Priest Victor Babie told Anisa Radio that he did not have enough funds to hire a car to take the pilgrims to Mupoi.
He mentioned that only 50 people registered to leave on Monday.
Namaku Parish priest Anthony Bangoye said there was a good number of pilgrims divided into two groups.
He added that the first was leaving on Saturday while the second waited for Sunday.
Yubu Parish Priest Joseph Githinji reported that his parishioners were well prepared for the journey on motorbikes that would start on Monday.
Holy Family Yabua Parish Priest Ignatius Mborihenga disclosed that 62 people registered to go this Saturday by car.
The organizing parishes of Ezo, Yangiri and Naandi arrived in Mupoi on Monday.
