Yei Deputy Mayor on Sunday warned boda-boda riders against carrying people at night.

Silvano Ali urged the riders not to move at night and avoid carrying two people to far destinations at night, Easter Radio reported.

The Deputy Mayor cited two incidents last week where one rider was killed and dumped in the river bank and another rider was robbed on road while taking two passengers at night.

He said the perpetrators of the two incidents were under police custody.

Mr Ali also warned that Christmas is approaching and many people are now planning
for more material than spiritual things.

He added that some people use Christmas to get wealth from other people that is not good in the face of God.

Yei Deputy Mayor reiterated that such practices can not protrude the meaning of Christmas.
