A CRN radio director urged the Secretariat of Sudan Catholic Bishops’ Conference or SCBC to fulfill the dream of a Catholic TV in South Sudan.
Easter Radio Director Emmanuel Sebit told CRN that improving communication meant audio, print and video media.
He said it was possible to establish a catholic television now that CRN proved to be far ahead of other East African catholic radio stations.
Fr Sebit revealed that African countries where Catholic media operate, including Zambia, were planning to start TV broadcasting and South Sudan should not be outrun.
He added that it was a matter of selling the idea and coming together to realize such a dream.
Fr Sebit also seconded the idea of establishing a SCBC media authority to strengthen the communication department at the bishops conference.
Easter Radio Director made the statements on Friday in Juba at the end of CRN coordinators’ annual meeting.
