The SPLA-N is holding a one-month workshop to train commanders.

The training that will bring together 40 participants from the five counties of Western South Kordofan is part of an effort to form government, Voice of Peace reported.

Director for General Administrative Local Court John Osman Andina said the training is the second of its kind.

The first graduated 32 officers.

He said the training is part of the policy of the secretariat to appoint administrative commanders after preparing them for work on the ground.

Mr Osman said the training, which hosts both men and women, will cover administrative issues planning, order, laws and human rights.

He added that those counties whose people did not attend the workshop would join next year.

The SPLA-N took up arms in 2011 after the government refused to grant them popular consultation for self-determination according to the Comprehensive Peace Agreements.
