Growing vegetables and rearing chicken and pigs are clear business opportunities in South Sudan.
South Sudan Agribusiness Development Programme Team Leader Collins Apuoyo advised farmers in the country to produce food and cash crops in excess for sale.
He urged people to take farming as business, and engage in horticulture, poultry and piggery as the most suitable business opportunities.
Mr Apuoyo said the program supports small and medium enterprises through development of agribusiness skills for economic growth.
He added that they also aimed at promoting food security in the country.
Mr Apuoyo revealed that the program would extend beyond Equatoria region to parts of Bahr el Ghazal and Malakal.
Thirty-six agribusiness advisors received training in the field since the beginning of 2013.
