The Council of Ministers approved the purchase of new power generators to the tune of 1.3 million Euros.
Government spokesperson Michael Makuei Lueth told the press after Friday’s ordinary cabinet meeting that the new will boost electricity supply to Juba.
He added that the Council of Ministers cancelled debts within government institutions, explaining that they would be treated as bad debts.
Mr Makuei said residents in government owned houses should pay dues.
The Government spokesperson also announced that an earlier report of polio outbreak in South Sudan was proved wrong, because samples were messed up.
