Twenty-one chiefs in Lainya County on Monday were sworn into office after a democratic election that began on September 2 concluded on 13 with the election of a paramount chief Ibrahim Lokule Mude.
Lainya County Commissioner Huda Micah Laila appreciated citizens for turning up to vote in a free and fair way, Easter Radio reported.
She called on failed candidates to remain calm, unite with their colleagues and become advisors.
Chief Lokule thanked Lainya people for electing him and pledged to deliver better and effective services.
Lokule appealed to the out going paramount chief to advise him when necessary and that he was willingness to work together with chiefs to realize development.
Lainya County Chief Inspector Tut Jackson called for cooperation to improve security, reduce crimes.
He said there was need to train seven community police for each payam to beef up security.
