Tonj South Mayor wants town clean

Tonj South Town Mayor in Warrap State said the town was dirty and he wanted it clean.
 
Machar Ater is today meeting traders, executive chiefs and county authorities to discuss how to clean the town, Don Bosco Radio reported.
 
He said cleaning the town and homes was to keep away flies, mosquitoes, snakes and other animals.
 
Mr Ater urged traders to stop using plastic bags, wrap their products in old newspapers and collect and burn plastics and other waste.
 
He said the new County Commissioner ordered him to collect two South Sudanese Pounds from eache trader to hire a lorry for collecting garbage.
 
Mr Ater warned that lawbreakers would be fined or face the law in the court because it was everyone’s responsibility to keep the town clean.
